    The student fails the final exam and/or doesn´t return any of the pre-tasks and/or doesn´t pass the small lecture exams and/or is not enough present on the lectures (minimum 12 lecturers/contact times of the total 16 )

    Tyydyttävä

    The student has basic knowledge of international forestry and forest industry. He/she is very passive during the lectures and doesn´t participate in discussions. Hometasks are only partly done.

    Hyvä

    The student has achieved quite a lot of information of forestry and forest industry in different parts of the world. He/she knows how forests and forestry differ in different parts of the world, which countries have a lot of forest industry and why, knows where plantation forestry is common and which species are used, he/she is aware of other values of forests and their role in maintaining biodiversity and in carbon cycling. The student is active during lectures and he/she has done most of the homework tasks.

    Kiitettävä

    The student has a broad picture of global forests, forests and forest industry. He/she has spent also a lot of own time in searching for information and that is why he/she has a very thorough knowledge of different topics of the course. He/she can combine information from different sources and make own synthesis of various topics. The student is very active during the lectures and he/she has done all homework tasks.
