Other course work:
Student shows very little participation in the meetings and the mid exam.
Grade 1: 30-45 % success in the course work (exam + other work).
Grade 2: 45-60 % success in the course work (exam + other work).
In practise, grade 1-2 participation can look something like this:
Nursing simulation:
Student attends the simulation, and is able to use Finnish on a rudimentary level. However, student has hard time showcasing Finnish skills beyond the Finnish 1 level.
Written exam:
Student attends the written exam, and is able to use Finnish on a rudimentary level. However, student has hard time showcasing Finnish skills beyond the Finnish 1 level.
Other course work:
Student takes part in the course work (e.g., the mid exam). However, student has difficulties with attending the meetings and showcasing active participation in the exercises.
Grade 3: 60-75 % success in the course work (exam + other work).
Grade 2: 75-90 % success in the course work (exam + other work).
In practise, grade 3-4 participation can look something like this:
Nursing simulation:
Student attends the simulation, and is able to use Finnish on an advanced basic level. However, student might have recurring problems with fluency, pronunciation, grammar, or other aspect of language use.
Written exam:
Student attends the simulation, and is able to use Finnish on an advanced basic level. However, student might have recurring problems with fluency, spelling, grammar, or other aspect of language use.
Other course work:
Student takes part in the course work (e.g., the mid exam). Student does not have any major issues with participation.
Grade 5: Over 90 % success in the course work (exam + other work).
In practise, grade 5 participation can look something like this:
Nursing simulation:
Student attends the simulation, and is able to use Finnish on an advanced basic level. Student does not have any major issues with the language use, and is able to express their thoughts and actions in a comprehensible, natural-sounding way.
Written exam:
Student attends the written exam, and is able to use Finnish on an advanced basic level. Student does not have any major issues with the language use, and is able to express their thoughts in a comprehensible, natural-sounding way.
Other course work:
Student takes part in the course work (e.g., the mid exam). Student shows active participation and engagement in the course work.
