    -to operate with mathematical expressions related to technology
    -to formulate the mathematical model and solve the equations
    Course contents
    Mathematical Notations, Unit Conversations. Mathematical Expressions. Solving Linear, Quadratic and Pair of equations. Percentages. Solving Right Triangle. Simple Areas and Volymes.

    This course is meant for students that need to update their mathematics and calculus skills for studying the mandatory Mathematics courses at TAMK.

    Recommended or required reading

    All material, theory and exercises, can be found in Tuni Moodle. If necessary, a student can use math books he/she has used before and the Internet to search more information about the topics.

    Planned learning activities and teaching methods

    The course material is discussed during the lectures. After that, a student supplements his/her previous mathematics skills by studying the material in Tuni Moodle and, if necessary, finding more information on the Internet. He/she solves mandatory exercises and saves them in Tuni Moodle by given deadlines.

    Assessment methods and criteria

    The final grade is based on the exam. To pass the exam a student has to get at least 40 % of the maximum points.

    Exam schedule

    The exam will be held on Monday, xth of October at 8.00-11.00 online. A student has to complete and submit at least 40% of the exercises to be able to attend the exam.
