    Learning outcomes of the course unit
    The participants will understand various challenges in pursuing sustainability. They will gain an overview of how to understand, govern and lead complex change processes and understand factors that are leading transformation processes in the society. The participants have identified competences needed in sustainability leadership. They have made a self-evaluation of your personal competences as a leader in a circular economy project.

    Materials for the course will be provided on the Helsinki Moodle, and TUNI Moodle platforms.

    Planned learning activities and teaching methods

    Introductory lecture, self-study of the theoretical framework, discussions on the studied framework.

    Assessment methods and criteria

    Evaluation of the course will be based upon completing both courses. at least 70% from the Sustainable Leadership course, contributing to forum discussions, participating in all the video conferences and discussions, (Individual responsibility) and contributing to the final group work.

    Evaluation of the course will be done in part, by completing a 2 credit Leadership for sustainable change course: https://leadforsust.fi/ and a 3 credit on our Moodle.

    In order to pass the course, you need to read the materials and do the quiz at the end of each module. After you have completed all the quizzes successfully (you need a score of, at least 70 % of the answers are correct), the system will generate a certificate and emails it to you.
    In addition, there is a designated forum on our Moodle page, where you are required to start a discussion under every topic you study, also expected to contribute to ongoing discussions.

    Students use of time and load

    Time is divided into self-study and working on team assignments. Students are expected to contribute to forum discussions, posts and comments.

    The student has completed a 2 credit Sustainable Leadership course, and has contributed to the group assignment. The final assignment is readable and comprehensible, the group has used an existing project for their analysis and had used the cultural framework.

    The student has completed a 2 credit Sustainable Leadership course, and has contributed to the group assignment. The final assignment is readable and comprehensible, the group has used an existing project for their analysis and had used the cultural framework.
    The report has used adequate source materials and shows evidence of reflection by the group on the cultural framework used.
