    Learning outcomes of the course unit
    After completing the course the students know the basics of marriage and cohabitation, child legislation, guardianship, inheritance, and wills.

    The students
    - understand the main concepts and principles of family and inheritance law
    - are able to locate and evaluate information from sources of family and inheritance law
    - are able to analyze and solve related legal problems.
    Course contents
    What are
    - the spouses’ main rights and duties?
    - legal relationship between a child and their parents?
    - guardianship?
    - order of intestate succession, will, settlement of an estate and distribution of an estate?

    The student has reached the course objectives sufficiently. They know the basics of key concepts, principles and rules of this area of law and are able to apply them to factual situa-tions sufficiently.
