Special Admission Requirements

http://www.tamk.fi:Bachelor of Social Services, EQF 6 and at least three years of work experience in a relevant field after graduation.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Credit transfer for studies means that the student can transfer prior higher education studies to the studied degree if they meet the competence objectives of the degree programme. Any studies completed in other higher education institutions can be included in the elective studies.
Students of Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK) may propose credit transfer based on their prior studies and competence.
Credit transfer follows the spesific instructions of TAMK.

Koulutuksessa keskeisiä opiskeltavia aiheita ovat sosiaalityöhön, huono-osaisuuteen, palvelurakenteisiin sekä palveluohjaukseen liittyvät sisällöt. Hyvinvointipalveluiden johtamisen ja kehittämisen osaaminen monimutkaistuvissa ja kansainvälisissä toimintaympäristöissä muodostaa laajimman kokonaisuuden.
Ensimmäisenä vuonna opinnot keskittyvät sosiaalityön teoreettisiin lähtökohtiin sekä toimintaympäristön ajankohtaisiin erityiskysymyksiin. Toisen vuoden keskiössä ovat johtamisosaaminen, tutkimuksellinen kehittämistoiminta sekä opinnäytetyön toteuttaminen. Kansainvälistymistä tuetaan opinnoissa eri tavoin.

Graduation Requirements

Completion of studies and achievement of competence objectives in the extent set by the curriculum.

Mode of Study

The scope of the degree is 90 cr. It consists of both classroom meetings (2-3 days/month) and independent work. The amount of independent study is large in the programme.
Your networking will be supported by collaboration between programmes and students from different universities of applied sciences. The learning methods include both independent work and inclusive working, for example working in small groups, study visits and on-line studies. Together with your teacher tutor you will draw up your individual study plan to follow during your studies.

Development of the Programme

Curricula are developed together with other Universities of Applied Sciences and other Master's programs in Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
Different co-operation projects are included in the program, such as Thesis projects. There are also regular meetings and networking with working life.
