Studies of syllabus is planned so 60 credits are studied in academic year and length of studies is 3,5/4/4,5 years. Planned syllabus may change during studies.
Students
- have basic knowledge on substances, their abuse, and risks and harms connected with substance abuse
- comprehend basic concepts and principles of mental health work
- are aware of their own attitudes towards substance use and mental health disorders and are able to work openly and professionally with people suffering from these problems
- are familiar with the legislation and service system governing substance abuse and mental health work
- are able to recognise and encounter people with mental health or substance abuse problems and their families
- are able to counsel clients according to their needs
- know the significance of early intervention and are able to apply methods of early intervention in their work
