OBJECTIVES OF EDUCATION
An objective of the degree programme in mechanical and production engineering is to provide extensive technical thinking skills, readiness for acquisition of information and professional studies. Another objective is to provide a possibility for further studies related to present and future professions. The aim is to support the students' independent decision making when it comes to forming a curriculum.

WORKING AFTER GRADUATION
Engineers work in production, automation and engineering design as well as in design, production, development, operation, maintenance, marketing, training and management. Graduated engineers are placed in an international operating environment in the engineering, engineering, technical and private industries.
VALUES FOR EDUCATION
Machine and production technology creates powerful tools for implementing our habitat functions. These fields of technology release human recurring, heavy and health-damaging jobs, and allow focusing on control and design functions. Well-functioning devices bring energy efficiency. This plays a key role in saving resources and sustainable development. The general competencies of machine and production technology also include ethical competence. A graduate knows the value base and professional ethics of his / her own field, which he / she is able to apply for his / her responsibility in hours and recognizing in his / her own activities. He acts according to agreed practices, applying the principles of sustainable development and others. In the design, manufacture and maintenance of machinery and equipment for both industrial and private use, the value base is high quality, safety, relevance, functionality and customer satisfaction. Other important values ​​include ease of use, design, ergonomics, recycling, and compliance with environmental standards.

A postgraduate student is an engineer with a master's degree or a university degree.
